Angela is Managing Director of the Investment Management Division and has overall responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s investment management activities including investment fund research and selection. Few can match Angela’s exceptional knowledge of the fund management industry and indeed the career histories of so many of the fund managers, including their achievements, failures, experience and personal characteristics. There are few portfolio construction theories she has not listened to, so she can authoritatively question on investment process, whilst (vitally) taking a view on the ability of the individuals and management teams concerned. There is not a major investment sector Angela has not covered, in a career spanning more than twenty years. Angela’s knowledge is an invaluable advantage to Cartlidge Morland in its fund selection process.
Career History:
Angela is a well-known and respected figure in the City investment community, having been Research Director of two of the largest companies of independent financial advisors, Bain Clarkson (now part of Aon) and Hogg Robinson. Prior to those appointments she held a management position in investment research at Sedgwick Noble Lowndes, another key player until its absorption within W M Mercer following a takeover. Angela entered the financial services industry directly after graduating from the London School of Economics where she gained a BSc.
Angela originally joined Cartlidge Morland with responsibility for investment research and was later appointed Managing Director – Investment Management. She has not only maintained Cartlidge Morland’s investment performance against benchmark but has further developed the scope of our services whilst attracting £M’s in additional investment funds.
